We’re delighted to have completed a 300-panel solar installation on a mixed residential and student accommodation development in the heart of Nottingham.
This was far from a standard installation. With residents occupying the building throughout the project, careful planning and coordination were essential to ensure works could be completed safely and with minimal disruption.
The challenge: cabling an occupied building
One of the biggest challenges was routing cabling from the rooftop system to ground level. To overcome this, specialist abseilers installed cabling down the exterior of the building, allowing the project to progress efficiently while avoiding disruption to tenants.
