This policy explains what personal data Solvexa Green Energy collects when you use this website or enquire about our services, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are

What we collect
When you submit an enquiry through our assessment form we collect the details you give us: your name, company name, email address, phone number and site postcode. If you email or call us, we keep a record of that correspondence so we can respond and maintain a history of the enquiry.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used for security and to keep the site available. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies on this site.
Why we use it
We use your enquiry details to prepare and send you a solar assessment, to answer your questions, and to carry out any work you subsequently instruct us to do. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you have made, and, where you go on to become a client, performance of a contract. Where we are required to retain records for tax or accounting purposes, our basis is legal obligation.
We do not sell your data, and we do not pass your details to third-party lead brokers.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us operate: our website host and form-delivery provider, our email provider, and our accounting software. Where a project requires it, we may share relevant details with your Distribution Network Operator, an MCS certification body, or a finance provider you have asked us to approach. Each of these is told to use the data only for that purpose.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to installed systems are kept for the life of the system and its warranties, because we need them to service and support what we have installed. Financial records are kept for six years as required by HMRC.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. You can also ask us to transfer it to another provider. To do any of these, email us at the address below and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This site sets no marketing or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie to manage security and load balancing, which does not require consent under PECR.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
